Just wanted to remind everyone BJJ is dead. You know we haven't seen submissions in a long time. Submissions are extinct. BJJ is dead. Look at Maia, Aoki, and Jacare. Again BJJ is dead.

i was gone all weekend, and finally got a chance to see this..1. this card was awesome. after the first 2-3 fights, i was blown away by the back and forth action.2. why is Sakara in the UFC? not to minimize Stann's punching power, but he gets KO'd a lot.... 3. Thiaga Silva is a lot smaller without the juice... kinda makes ya wonder about his previous fights. and he's also a jackass....he's one of those guy's who gets in a situation he doesn't like, and immediately brings it up to the ref, like his opponent is stalling. regrdless, he got schooled in this fight....i don't think Gustaffson is anhwyehre near JBJ, either.

It's the movement-heavy style that his coach teaches....Cruz has it, Gustafsson has it, Travis Browne tries it but doesn't have the cardio to maintain it for over a round. It works, even if it seems like a lot of unnecessary's just a very hard style to keep up for a long period, although Alexander didn't seem winded at all.

Gustafsson should not be the movement guy, all that slipping and ducking under punches is counter productive IMO. At times he fought like he was a 5'6" guy.

that's what I've been saying for a while, Gustafsson is talented but his striking needs a lot of polishing still. All that circling is a waste of energy, he needs to learn how to take the center of the Ring since he is the taller guy in almost every fight. And he could use some straight punches, Thiago figured out his looping uppercuts in rd1 and proceeded to block 95% of them.

Yeah let's disregard all the damage of the punches that landed and the stats showing that he was actively landing them. Also all bruises on the face clearly came from one punch. Imo he was running when he dropped Thiago one minute in too.
