Ortiz ponders future in the WWE

source: espn.co.uk

"I've had some major surgeries but I took the fights anyway, and I've shown that I'm able to compete. A lot of athletes don't compete with injuries, but I have. Those fights with Forrest were tight, and a completion of the trilogy should be the right way to end my career.

"It's my decision, I want to leave on my own terms. I haven't been injured badly, I've got my head on my shoulders, I agreed the fight and I go out on my terms."

However, Ortiz has not completely shut the door on a UFC extension. The American admits a big win could tempt him to fight on, although a move into the WWE - where Brock Lesnar recently returned - also appeals.

"I may have another one... you never know," Ortiz said of extending his UFC stay. "But I've got a lot of options. I've seen Brock Lesnar go back to the WWE, that's something I may entertain, do some 'theatrical entertainment' as they call it.

"I've got my clothing company, my supplement line Punishment Nutrition, it's business to me. I'm not going to be able to fight for the rest of my life and I want to leave on my terms."

Let him go to the WWF....more power to him there. He would make a lot more money then getting an office job at the UFC.... and he would be able to extend the reaches of his brands. It would be nice to see him train some new upcoming fighters as well though.Anyways i do not think they will offer him an office job. Dana is still not on great terms with Tito (or is he?) and Tito always had an entrepreneurial spirit about him.As for Jenito....who care...one minute the are killing each other and then their back together. But the whole Forrest trilogy relevance is BS. It suck because it shows that Forrest is almost not relevant anymore (always has been one of my favorite fighters) more then anything else.

"got back together"?? Wow, I'm out of Tito-touch! I had no idea they divorced! No more "Jenito"? :(

huh. did not know that! i thought Tito going pro-wrestling might be a good idea, but I also thought his injuries could be repaired and additional injuries prevented if he could do the proper juicing.

Tito already tried pro wrestling, but he ended up as a special guest ref in TNA.

I think they would have to use the Shamrock angle minus the submission finisher lol. If him and Jenna got back together, McMahon would hire them in a heartbeat

Like others have said, it's probably just Tito's way of bargaining with the UFC for another position. If he did get a job with the WWE, more power to him. Let the man get paid. His gravedigger routine is perfect for "pro" rasslin and I think it'd be mutually beneficial for him and the WWE.

What are you talking about? Ken bought WWE hype skills to the UFC and basically saved them from going out of business at UFC 40.Sure he's no Rock, but the dude knew how to hype a fight at a time when most other MMA fighters would just stare at the camera like deers in headlghts.
