Agreed that poor deceased horse has taken quite a besting. But I almost got arrested watching that fight. My wife wil not go to Bdubs with me anymore because of how I acted that night. Just really pissed me off and I was a fan of both.

Didn't Condit outstrike him in most rounds? Sounds like a win to me.

Diaz came to fight, Condit came to play a game. Condit won the game but he didn't beat Nick Diaz in a fight.

On Iaquinta:Guy is a killer wrestler. From that, he has a base which makes his other qualities significant. He is at least a competent striker in MMA. That means he is better on the feet than most wrestlers in MMA.He is a Serra Purple, which means his ground game in defense and from the bottom is still somewhat raw. In 2 years, he will have advanced significantly. At that point, he will be an advanced wrestling talent with a good chin and quality cardio who will be able to dictate where the fight stays. He can drop BJJ guys on the feet, keep wrestlers on the feet where he has an advantage, and take down strikers and GNP. Once his defensive weaknesses are cleared up he will be a force.

I guess I should have anticipated the Pro-Carlos reactions, but I didn't mean that Carlos doesn't finish fights. Even if the rest of his fights are just like the Diaz fight, the worst I can say is that there are judges that have different definition of 'effective striking'.I'm just pointing out that Martin is doing more than out-pointing his opponents. He's putting on captivating fights with dramatic finishes, and the UFC is not getting enough Bucks for the Bang. Let's not forget his Viking appeal in the European markets. If Carlos wants to be The #1 Contender and wait for a GSP fight, that's fine. But in the interim, Martin is the Champion of the division. That being said, I hope he takes Hendricks down and taps him quick. Although this fight should throw cold water on the notion that the stoppage in the Daley fight was warranted, I want to see Martin fight for a while longer - and be healthy when he's finished fighting.

So if you're saying Condit didn't win, but instead avoided losing, then you're trying to say Diaz won? Because if Condit "didn't win" then Diaz had to have won, becasue lets face it, the fight wasn't a draw.Come on man. Condit won. Accept it, just move on. Diaz will be back, he is a great fighter and I'm sure this whole retirement thing will pass. But for now, saying Condit avoided losing doesn't change the fact that he won...

He didn't look like a world class kick boxer last night. But he got the win, do good on him.
