Rizzo training in Holland for bout with Fedor

source: fighttalk.nl

Pedro Rizzo is now only weeks away from a showdown with Russian heavyweight Fedor Emelianenko. The Brazilian is a former UFC heavyweight with over 15 years experience competing at the highest level in the sport. At 38 years of age, Rizzo was chosen to be the last opponent for Emelianenko, who announced this bout would serve as his last, choosing to retire after.

Rizzo is on a 3-fight win streak, but hasn't fought since 2010.

zentsov caught rizzo beautifully with a left hook off his leg kick. fedor needs to take this fight to the ground and win with epic GnP and retire big dog style. i hate to see either man lose. i really do. but as much as i love rizzo i gotta pull for fedor in this.

Rizzo was training to fight Sylvia before he injured his hand. Rizzo has not been sitting on his ass for the past 2 years.

As a let down Fedor fan I hope the Rock KOs him to teach Vadummy a lesson. If Rizzo drops his bad habit of moving backward doing the Frankenstein he could pull off a nice win.

Hopefully training in Holland will help him get his intensity back. His last few fights were terrible because he looked like a timid counter puncher [I don't want to even remember the Ricco fight]

It's a very cynical matchup at best, but so was Bigfoot Silva and look how that turned out

I think if Fedor would want to play it smart he catches a leg.. punches and then transitions into a take down.  Ground and pound from there. Nothing Rizzo can do.
