Roots of Fight is proud to announce its latest video tribute, to the legendary fight team/gym, Black House.
Originally founded in Rio De Janeiro in 2006, Black House was moved to Los Angeles in 2008 to serve as a training facility for living legends such as reigning UFC middleweight champion Anderson 'The Spider' Silva, former PRIDE and UFC heavyweight Antonio 'Minotauro' Nogueira, and former UFC light heavyweight champion Lyoto 'The Dragon' Machida as well as rising prospects in the world of MMA. Every man who crosses the threshold is either under the management of co-founder Ed Soares or invited by a member of the Black House fight team.
The gym serves as a training haven for pro fighters to ply their trade without the distractions of the media, fans or the every day bustle of a working gym. Taking the mat for a training session at Black House marks you a member of an elite brotherhood of fighters.
"Black House has a very different type of energy because it's not a training facility that's open to the public," says Soares. "You have to be invited, you're a guest of Black House which makes it very unique."
