Lombard 3-1 favorite over Boetsch

by Gene Mrosko | source: mmamania.com

According to MMAOddsbreakers, Lombard has been inserted as a -310 favorite for his Octagon debut, which comes after a long career of tearing up the regional scene and terrorizing the best Bellator could offer. In fact, there's been talk that if he wins impressively here, he'll be next in line for a 185-pound title shot and a crack at the winner of the Anderson Silva vs. Chael Sonnen showdown taking place at UFC 148 on July 7 in Las Vegas.

Boestch, who limps in as the +240 underdog, is none too happy about all that talk and plans to use it as motivation to "take him out" and steal his title shot in the process.

Lombard may be the favorite but I still think this is a very winnable fight for Boetsch.

The odds are that way for a reason. Bookies are in to make money, you know. :)

This is tempting to lay some money down on boetsch.

Boetsch already won me some money with his win over Okami, and I'm not sold on Lombard yet until he proves he can compete with the best; and I don't believe he's beat anyone who's anyone yet. I'll put 20$ on Boetsch for a little interest.

"What excuse have you got for MMA to avoid credibility when it comes to steroids?"Nothing. Exactly. And yeah, cheating would be the main reason for not wanting to take a random test. I'm sure that's really hard for you to grasp though.

LOL at untested in the UFC. It's funny to me that an accomplished olympic-level athlete with an unbeaten streak - with recent wins over better and better competition such as Schmelko who IIRC the UFC also wants - still has to 'prove' something to armchair warriors on this forum.I like tim, but everything on paper says tim is lucky that anyone thinks he has a chance at all.
