Marquardt KOs Woodley, earns Strikeforce Welterweight Title

At long last, Strikeforce has a new welterweight champion.

And despite 16 months without a fight, and fighting for Strikeforce for the first time, that new champion is Nate Marquardt. The former UFC middleweight on Saturday brutally knocked out Tyron Woodley in the fourth round after a back-and-forth slugfest.

The welterweight title fight served as the co-main event of Saturday's "Strikeforce: Rockhold vs. Kennedy" event at Rose Garden Arena in Portland, Ore. The fight aired on Showtime following prelims on Showtime Extreme.

I actually dislike Nate, and was amazed by his manner of victory tonight. In fact, I have previously talked a whole lot of shit about his fights. While I would absolutely not wish to have been a part of them, he did an incredible thing tonight which he deserves credit for. No matter how he does in the future, he deserves credit for the impressive performance tonight.

They actually said before the fight that he stopped taking TRT. I guess the after fight drug test will confirm or deny these facts.

They've shown her HALLELUJAH bullshit after every single goddamn fight, and were literally showing her before this fight and inbetween rounds. Honestly, Strikeforce fucking owed it to us to show us that bitch's face after Woodley got KO'd after all the times I've had to see her for no reason at all.
