Guillard: 'No way' Cerrone beats me

"Things could be entirely different at this stage in my life, if I hadn't beaten Camoes at UFC 148, who knows where I would be right now. Instead, I'm co-headlining a UFC pay-per-view for Mr. Lorenzo and Mr. Dana and all the fans, and in a fight that I think will be the Fight of Night.

There is no way that Cerrone can beat me, because for the first time ever, I will be fighting at my full potential. I can't wait for Denver. I want the fight to be this weekend. I'm already in shape and in my mind, and in strategy sessions with my coaches, I've already won the fight ten different ways.

It's gonna be a closer fight than most people think, but i still see Cerrone winning. It seems like Guillard has a weak chin, he doesnt get KTFO but most of the times he gets rocked by not impressive punches and after that he cant defend submissions for shit.Guillard could be more successful if he used Greg Jackson's jab&jog gameplan (as seen in Condit, GSP and with less success Guida). He did that against Jeremy Stephens (a fight i personally thought Stephens won), but Guillard was clearly disappointed by that fight, he said it, and i think it's the main reason why he left Greg Jackson, Guillard wants the bonuses and wants to be an exciting fighter.

Yep. Don't get me wrong, I like Melvin's style at times but he, like Chael seems to always find himself in the same spot over and over and over again.

^^I agree.Cerrone could possibly get Dunham'dhe's better kick when standing, and be looking to make it a grappling match if possible

Camoes couldn't submit Guillard from mount or the back. That's not to say Cerrone can't submit Guillard, but Camoes is a better grappler than Cerrone, and Camoes is much more relentless with his takedowns than Cerrone is, who (as people seem to forget) has pretty weak offensive wrestling. And as far as striking goes, it's not very close, Melvin hits way harder, is way faster, and Cerrone has had trouble with punchers. People love to hate on Melvin but he's honestly not that cocky, he just voices his opinion. I can't believe people are getting up in arms about this.
