White: Lombard should fight at 170 lbs.

After the post-fight press conference, UFC president Dana White described the Lombard versus Boetsch fight as “horrible.” Later, during the media scrum, White declared.

Lombard probably should fight at 170, he made (1)85 easy. He’s short and wide, but I think he can make 70. 70’s no joke either, 70’s a very tough division. This is one of those things, the guy was on a 25-fight win streak, a lot of hype behind him, people have been talking about him forever. Guys that fight in other organizations end up in top ten rankings and it’s a whole other world over here.

He's got the power in his hands, the strength and speed, dropping weight is just silly imo, he was stronger than boetsch who is a big 185er, i think 185 i right for him, cutting will just take his power, speed and conditioning.

170 is a tougher division talentwise and who knows if Lombard would still be Lombard if he lost his muscle size.Think of Baroni when he went down to 170...Wasn't Baroni...He actually did better as an undersized/ blown up 185lber

Agree- 170 is much deeper division than 185, no reason to think he would do any better

as unimpressing as lombard was he deserves a chance at redemption, he can put that one down to octagon jitters , but he is still a top contender in the division

why? he fought one of the biggest 185ers and was able to stuff his takedowns
