Ya, they were putting on a show to try and influence the judges and fans. He knew he lost. You could see it even going into the 5th round and when waiting for the decision. The first Henderson vs Edgar fight is really a litmus test for who still scores MMA as a fight and who scores it as a pointfight. Many fans have gotten so used to the retarded judges crazy implementation of the rules/scoring, emphasis on giving TD's uberpoints and counting any tap, that they've let it distort their own view of how to judge a fight.

He's not "entitled" to anything. He had to give BJ a rematch because everyone that wasn't a blind nuthugger saw it was a close fight and most people had BJ winning. Everyone realized the judges were retarded (as one of the judges even came on here and proved even further). He had to give Maynard a rematch because of the draw. It would be ridiculous not to have a rematch after a draw in a title fight. Being able to hold the belt with a draw is the lamest thing in combat sports. A champion could theoretically have every fight end in a draw and keep the belt which is ridiculously stupid. To most fans there really wasn't a champion until one of those two guys won a rematch. Those rematches were Edgar's own fault for utilizing a style that will lead to far more close/controversial wins than it will to a lot of emphatic decisions or finishes. It was Edgar's own fault. The UFC didn't owe him a thing. As long as Edgar gets/holds the belt and keeps fighting with the style he does that has a low emphasis on threatening/finishing he will be in a lot of close/controversial fights. No one should be wanting that. Champions shouldn't be leaving big question marks on who won every other fight like Edgar has done.

Hated because of his size? This simply isn't true. If you actually read the posts of people who don't care for Edgar the vast majority say it's beause he focuses more on points than fighting to threaten and finish, which is true, and he can't go 2 fights without having a close/controversial decision because of his style. I'll give Edgar for having tremendous heart and for finishing Maynard, but he does focus on pointfighting. That's why he pops in and out and throws punches that he rarely sits on so they rarely have enough power on them to do significant damage. That's why he does a lot of running away and if his opponent chases him too aggressively he goes for a TD and then proceeds to do no threatening with it. He knows the TD scores unreasonably high with most judges. He rarely hurts opponents enough to finish them or even come close but it's tough for opponents to finish him too because he bounces away so much and is tough with a lot of heart. People don't hate him because of his size. Read their posts instead of being a blind fan. They hate him because his style will frequently lead to a lot of close/controversial decisions instead of emphatic wins and that's simply not worthy of a champion.
