Rousey: I don't care if Cyborg's injecting horse semen into her eyeballs

by Mike Chiappetta | source:

Cris 'Cyborg' Santos recently appeared on The MMA Hour, and said she wants to fight Ronda Rousey. The catch is, Santos wants it to be at a catchweight of 140, or even at Cyborg's natural fighting weight of 145.

Rousey, who is defending her title against Sarah Kaufman Saturday night, appeared on TSN Radio's "The MMA Report with John Pollock" and shot down any catchweight fight.

Cyborg will be able to reapply for a license in December, following her postiive test for the steroid Stanozolol.

"If she wants to fight me than she is going to have to find a way to come down to 135," said Rousey. "We'll see how she does in a fair fight for once in her life. She has a history of coming in overweight to fights and I wouldn't doubt that if we agreed to some sort of catchweight at 140, she’d show up at 145 anyway and be like 'ah whatever, fight or not.' She’s done this many times before.

"I don't owe her anything. She's completely defamed, and anything she’s ever done is nothing because she is a big old cheater and she's been doping her whole life. And I think part of the reason why people like Dana think there is a lack of depth in all these divisions is because this girl is doping and making everybody look like they aren't in her league. And I think the reason why people look at women's MMA like that was because of her.

"She is nothing but a detriment to the sport and the only positive she could play is an Ivan Drago bad guy that gets beat to hell by a Rocky. So no, she can come down and fight me at 135 because I have a whole line of other people that want to fight me already and I don’t owe her anything.

"I don't need to come up and it’s just like, why would I even want to come up to her weight? Stop doping, lose the weight. She can either do the drugs and fight me at 135 and have the drugs be just as much a detriment as a help to her during the weight cut, or she can cut out all the doping and make the weight easily. It's just whatever.

"As long as she makes 135, I don't care if she's injecting horse semen into her eyeballs but that’s the only way I feel it would be a fair fight. She’s never had a fair fight in her life and I see how the prospect of that would scare the hell out of her and why she would insist at fighting heavier."

"Maybe if some of you bother to check out, you'd see many female athletes lookin as feminine as they can get popped and many female atheltes lookin much more manly than Cyborg didn't."I'm sure you're right about that, but this thread is specifically about Cyborg. Also....I don't think that 'lots of them are doing it' is any kind of an excuse, so I'm not sure what you're really getting it.

Yea and seems like most of the ppl here are dumb enough to think Cyborg is the only woman on PED's in this sport, because of her looks. Maybe if some of you bother to check out, you'd see many female athletes lookin as feminine as they can get popped and many female atheltes lookin much more manly than Cyborg didn't.

er.....i didn't say anything remotely like that, i have no idea why you ask that question, but since you did, the answer is 'no' you think that if others are juicing also, that it's ok then? Besides i wasn't talking about 'all of women's mma' i was talking about Cyborg, your question makes no sense.

It is not possible to "roid yourself into a man" using the drugs she was caught taking.

The first person to ever talk crap was Rhonda, and it was at 145.  Your comparison is nothing like what happened.

I agree, total dick tuck on Cyborg's part, for crying over 5 lbs. She should lose it and fight at 135. You don't ask the champ to go to your division, you go to the champ's.This is just silly. Cyborg just got caught cheating (and cheating is the ultimate dick tuck, it means you don't think you can win fighting fair). How in the world can she turn that around so Rousey is the one afraid of a fight?

This why fight cyborg when the division might be shut down, cyborg is a cheater AND doesn't have the belt

In what universe is cyborg the life or death difference of women's mma? She wasn't particularly liked before she got caught as many (rightly) assumed she was cheating and thought she was a paper weight champ in a joke division. She had a little freak show value and that's it.Now that she's been actually caught she's going to gain in popularity? Strikeforce isn't even putting on 145 lbs fights anymore and were struggling to find legit fighters before, why would Rousey abandon a surviving division for a dead one? C'mon now

men's mma would survive either way.  now if anderson and diaz were the ONLY male fighters people cared about in a dying league (like ronda vs cyborg), different story because in their case (women's mma) the champ needs the challenger as much as the challenger needs the champ. also, you're forgetting the catch weight offer
