Manager details stipulations for Rousey vs. Cyborg

On Monday's edition of The MMA Hour, Harvey said he'd go one step further and request hair follicle testing to ensure that Cyborg hasn't been using any drugs while on suspension.

Hair follicles capture drug molecules, and testing of the sample is able to detect drugs for up to three months after its original ingestion, according to drug testing experts.

Harvey said he would be willing to pay for the testing to ensure the costs would not dissuade participation.

"I’ll tell you why," he said. "I believe this is not the first time she used steroids; it's only the first time she’s been caught.

"I wasn't surprised," he continued. "People have speculated but you couldn't really prove it. Now, it’s been proven. This is my belief. I’m not a doctor but I've been around athletes my whole life and I believe that when you take steroids, you alternate your body permanently. Maybe you lose some of the muscle mass, but a lot remains. So she’s permanently altered her body. And I want everything to be to our advantage. She's been taking male hormones, and it's not only unethical, it's freaking dangerous, and you're endangering the lives of the athletes. She's coming in there basically with man-like strength or male hormones in her body, and she's endangering the lives of our athletes."

"I won't sign the bout agreement unless they agree to random drug testing throughout the camp," he said. "From the beginning, from the date that the bout agreement is signed, or maybe even before that point, until the day that they fight. And if they don't agree to that, we wont fight her.

They do the T/E ratio test because production of testosterone and epitestosterone relies on similar physiological pathways. This is why Test levels and Epitest levels fluctuate similarly, and why a 1:1 ratio indicates the presence of only endogenous hormones. Both are released in a manner depended on genetic predisposition and context (i.e. exercise, dominance challenges, diet, etc). It's not true that exercise raises T levels "not much", unless you mean a single exercise session or something silly like that. Again, only 40% of variability in point sampling of testosterone in normal males is accounted for by basal levels, meaning that 60% of variability is due to a mix of measurement error (which is quite small for these sorts of measures) and contextual modulation. When we used to measure cortisol in primates at my old job, we would have to take a point sample (blood) within 15 minutes, before the hormone responded to context. This was so we could compare the final level to the baseline level.

Its pretty simple:I think there is probably a reason we don't have men fight women or have women play in the NFL... women are physically weaker. So if a women is taking something that makes her have the strength of a man, then maybe the truer test would be her fighting in the mens division.Im with Rhonda on this....if Cyborg agrees to random testing and to make weight, let it happen. Otherwise, she is committed to cheating and is not fighting within the rules. I saw her thing where she says its medically dangerous for her to drop to that weight...Cyborg, hopefully this is not the same DR. that prescribed all the anabolics for you...as Ive heard a rumor there not so good for you either?

He's looking after his fighter, and I don't blame him. Zuffa should be implementing random drug testing for all main card fights anyways.

That wasn't meant for you actually, but to those chanting "Cyborg is a known cheater, juicing her way through the division". Funny how those ppl would like to see her record erased to 0-0, after one failed test. Yet in case of some other fighters they're perfectly ok with giving him a title shot straight after his suspension.

Dominick Cruz can make 135 but Guyborg can't. Same height too seems that she put on a little too much muscle from all that hardcore weight training sessions I bet you she has those man grunts that you always hear in the gym too.
