Gallery: A motivated BJ Penn training hard in Hilo

source: bjpenn

In this gallery a clearly motivated BJ Penn trains at Penn Training & Fitness in Hilo, Hawai'i, with brother Reagan, Pat Healy, Josh Thompson, and others.

The gallery shows BJ in his office, but instead of pushing papers, he is pushing others, and above all himself.

Penn was originally scheduled to fight Rory MacDonald at Saturday's UFC 152, but due to a cut MacDonald suffered in training, the bout has been rescheduled for UFC on Fox 5: Henderson vs. Diaz, Dec. 8, 2012 at the Key Arena in Seattle, Washington.

The Hawaiian Islands are famously infused with the Aloha spirit of affection, peace, compassion, and mercy. But they are also infused with an unmistakable ancient warrior spirit, that cannot be denied.

And no famous image gallery survives long on the UG without at least one romoshop:

^^ this is very true. He's trains at our school at times, and generally when we arrive, the kid's class is letting out, so he gets mobbed by kids and their parents who want pictures with him. As that dissipates and adults get down to business, I always took the opposite tact and never bothered him unless we were paired up or otherwise interacting.Because even lots of adults take a lot of his time saying hello and wanting pictures. One day as he was leaving and saying goodbye to everyone individually, he looks over at me kinda sour/pissed off, kinda as to say like, "What, are you too fucking good to say hello and goodbye once in a while?"I thought I was doing him a favor, but actually he's still so down to earth that he took my leaving him alone as an insult (like any normal person would).

Hmmm, if you had a bad experience whilst visiting Hawaii that is too bad. It could be that you ran into some bad folks or it could be that your an ass. Either way, there are still a ton of people in Hawaii who live and breath the Aloha spirit and Bj is one of them. The last time I saw him he was at the airport and in about 30 seconds he was mobbed by so many people that we both laughed and I told him that I would see him later. When I looked back he was signing what ever the people wanted him to sign and posing for pics. All with a genuine smile on his face. Now that is a true Champion and the definition of aloha.T T T for BJ!!! Aloha, Ano!!!!

Ive always been a huge bj Penn nuthugger but if hes not at 155 I just cant get that excited for his chances.. I really think he could make another run at the LW title but instead he chooses to fight at WW where he sustains way too much damage & seems to gas much quicker

"Sometimes, you come with the right game plans and you shock the world: Matt Hughes, Diego Sanchaz, Fitch (He should have won that fight), etc."With Fitch, he had a game plan. What was his game plan with Sanchez other than beat the shit out of him everywhere? With Hughes, too, BJ beat the destroyed him the first time; was killing him the second time until he gassed (due to conditioning, a broken rib, or both); and he KOed him the third time.

when he says 100% he means 100%. Ive heard from others that the marinovich brothers have requested their athletes to stop jiu jitsu, boxing, wrestling etc and focus on their system. literally STOP everything else. Thats not good when youre going to be fighting not joining a workout competition.

Bj doesn't get tired at 155 either. Now I'm a fan of Frankie but how do you think he would do against the likes of Machida or GSP?

"A MOTIVATED BJ PENN CAN WIN!" "I LOVE THE MOTIVATED PENN" "WHEN BJ IS MOTIVATED NO ONE CAN STOP HIM" "A MOTIVATED BJ CAN BE CHAMP ONCE AGAIN!" STFU! I'm tired of hearing that cliche shit.  "blah, blah, blah, blah, motivated, blah, blah, Penn, blah" Its like a broken record with all this wannabe fans.  Anyone who watched BJ's career knows how fucking talented he is.  There are also game plans, idiots.  Sometimes, you come with the wrong game plan, and you get worked.  I.E. bouts vs GSP, Franky, etc.  Sometimes, you come with the right game plans and you shock the world: Matt Hughes, Diego Sanchaz, Fitch (He should have won that fight), etc. Someone once said "motivated Penn can.." and everyone jumped on that bandwagon as if its a fact.  Someone gave their opinion on the matter and it became written in stone. A bunch of idiots.  Its no better than claiming Brock has no skills after he beat Mir, Randy, and Carwin.  BJ is a sweet, humble kid.  When he loses, and gives an emotional speech, everyone assumes that he didn't give it his all.  Fucking morons.
