ONE Fighting Championship™ (ONE FC) announced the full fight card for ONE FC: RISE OF KINGS on 6 October. Melvin “No Mercy” Manhoef will return to the ONE FC cage when he battles the Middleweight King of Pancrase Ryo “Rambo” Kawamura in what is sure to be a fight for the ages. ONE FC: RISE OF KINGS will feature the highly anticipated Lightweight Super Fight between Shinya “Tobikan Judan” Aoki and French Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) Champion Arnaud “The Game” Lepont when ONE FC heads back to Singapore Indoor Stadium on Saturday, 6 October.

ONE FC: RISE OF KINGS will see the crowning of two ONE FC World Champions. Brazilian submission expert Zorobabel “Zoro” Moreira takes on top Japanese Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) veteran Kotetsu Boku for the Lightweight crown and BJJ World Champion Leandro Issa battles former RisingOn Champion Soo Chul Kim for the Bantamweight championship.

CEO of ONE Fighting Championship™ Victor Cui stated, “The Lightweight and Bantamweight divisions of ONE FC are both incredibly stacked with the largest roster of Asian champions. Moreira, Boku, Issa and Kim have proven that they are the best and most exciting prospects in the divisions and we are giving them the chance to earn themselves a World Championship Title Belt. To top things off, we have added to the fight card one of the most exiting fights in the Middleweight division. Melvin Manhoef is set to face one of the best in the division when he squares off against Ryo Kawamura in what is expected to be a slug fest."

Also, for the first time, the eight-man Bantamweight Grand Prix kicks off with American MMA legend Jens Pulver taking on China’s rising star Zhao Ya Fei while Korean slugger Min Jung Song clashes with Japan’s very own Masakatsu Ueda and Russian Top Team Fight Club Champion Yusup Saadulaev takes on Filipino Champion Kevin Belingon. The Grand Prix will culminate in late 2013 where the finalists will contend for the prestigious ONE FC Bantamweight title.

Agree with that for sure. They're standups (Zoro and Issa) has obviously improved leaps and bounds, but they're ground games are superior to basically everyone else in One FC as you know, so they really should use that as well.Still though, a lot of young talent coming up in the region...Eddie Ng, Folayang, Belingon, even Kim Hock's only 21. That Subha guy who KO'ed Bruce Loh is like 20. The future's very very bright imo

If Evolve keeps trying to make their BJJ world champs fight like Muay Thai guys, they won't go far. So glad Aoki went back to his grappling. He would have suffered the same fate as Issa and Zoro otherwise.

Give it time. MMA's only recently become popular in Asia (outside of Japan). Gyms like Evolve and MuayFit aren't even 5 years old. Fighters like Kim, Folayang, Kim Hock aren't even 24 yet.The potential's there for the quality to be huge in 4-5 years time. Huge.

Aoki, Bibiano and Crusher will be champs.I have to say I'm kind of sad to see them in this org. I know everyone wants to love OneFC for the rules and being an Asian org/next Pride but they just dont have the quality opponents for these few elite fighters to face.I mean having Aoki fighting the level of the guy he just fought is embarrassing.
