Bonnar: I fight my f---ing ass off

by Steven Marrocco & John Morgan | source: mmajunkie.com

"I've never been the most confident person, but I know when I'm locked in the cage with someone trying to kill me, I fight my f---ing ass off," Bonnar told MMAjunkie.com.

"I'm always going to be a big underdog, and when I get in there, I'm going to f---ing fight like I always do," he said. "I go after him. That's just me."

Odds aren't as stacked against Bonnar as they were when the headliner was announced nearly a month ago. Then a historic 13-to-1 underdog, his chances have improved in betting lines as some have put money on the longshot.

But make no mistake about it: Few expect him to win.

"There's a lot less pressure, but it's not like I'm going to quit," Bonnar said. "It's not like I'm going to be, 'Oh, I'm hurt, I'm going to lay down and curl up.' F--- no."

I would love to see Bonnar win. It would with our a doubt be one of the biggest upsets in UFC history regardless of the weight/size difference and I think a smart Bonnar has a shot.

WELL YEAH......NO ONE QUESTIONS HIS HEART.   HE DOES FIGHT HIS ASS OFF.   UNFORTUNATELY ITS NOT GOING TO IMPROVE HIS SKILL SET ANY AND THATS WHY ANDERSON IS STILL GONNA BEAT HIM SILLY.

Stephan Bonnar pulls a fast one, fights smart in latest win Known as a brawler, Bonnar takes satisfaction in his ‘tomfoolery’ JUSTIN M. BOWEN Stephan Bonnar punches Igor Pokrajac during their light heavyweight bout during The Ultimate Fighter 12 Finale on Saturday at The Pearl at The Palms. Bonner won with a unanimous decision. By Brett Okamoto Saturday, Dec. 4, 2010 | 11:47 p.m.   Stephan Bonnar feels guilty. The UFC light heavyweight returned to the scene of his epic 2005 battle against Forrest Griffin Saturday at “The Ultimate Fighter 12" finale and did what no one expected him to do. He fought a smart fight, and barely took any damage in the process. He wasn’t even in the discussion for Fight of the Night honors. Afterward, he didn’t even go to the hospital. “I feel guilty for not going toe-to-toe,” Bonnar said, following his unanimous decision win. “After the second round, I knew I was ahead and thought, ‘Why risk being all ugly?’ “I felt a little guilty, but I wanted to play it safe.”
