White: Overeem to fight winner of JDS vs. Cain, possibly in March or April

The winner between heavyweight champion Junior Dos Santos and Cain Velasquez will face former No. 1 contender Alistair Overeem, perhaps as early as March or April.

UFC President Dana White laid out the still very loose plan early Sunday following the post-event news conference for UFC 153, which took place in Rio de Janeiro.

Dos Santos and former champ Velasquez meet in the main event of UFC 155, which takes place Dec. 29 at MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.

In August, White said Dos Santos told him he would prefer to face Overeem instead of Velasquez.

I think we were all expecting this to happen anyway. I would take JDS/Cain over Overeem anyday.

Yawn! Who has won his last 8 fights, and finished all but one? That would be The Reem. I fully expect JDS to be ready for Cain to resort to wrestling, with some training in take down defense.

Most overrated striker in MMA history. He couldn't hang with Werdum. Couldn't hang with Buentello. Every significant striker he has faced, he has either been knocked out, or he submitted them after laying on them until they were exhausted. How about he win one single fight without cheating before he's gifted the title shot that he can't earn?My two cents. Vote me down while I roll my eyes. The truth is the truth.
