Lightweights Jim Miller and Joe Lauzon were subject to out-of-competition drug testing in advance of UFC 155, the Nevada State Athletic Commission recently informed MMAjunkie.co.

Both fighters passed tests for steroids and diuretics, NSAC Executive Director Keith Kizer said.

Miller and Lauzon meet on the main card of the pay-per-view event, which takes place Dec. 29 at MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.

Ideally, they would. But from what I remember hearing in interviews, the NSAC's budget sucks.Their entire annual budget is something like $700,000. Their out of competition testing budget is a sliver of that. They actually didn't do any one year, since the legislature didn't budget it.WADA gets $100k to test for one of Mayweather's fights. VADA charges $5k-10k for each participant in an eight week program. The NSAC just can't afford to test very many people. It sucks, but I don't know any other state that do any random out of competition tests at all. So at least it's something.

Be careful with Ben an Jerry's Chunky Monkey bro. I heard it will make you test positive for heroin. Kinda like poppy seed muffins.

part of it being random is the timing. you can choose more than two guys out of 20 and still keep it random. only choosing two gives the other 18 a really good chance of not being chosen to test.

Picking a couple of guys here and there is sort of the definition of random.

My point is they should be random testing everyone or at least more than two guys, not just picking a couple guys here and there.

I think the test would have caught recreational stuff too. Luckily, ice cream is still allowed.

Joe will be getting high. High on life after he taps Miller with a Peruvian necktie at 2:14 of round 2 after the most exciting first round in MMA history.
