"Little Nog is trying to break into the top echelon of fighters and deservedly so. He's a tough competitor, he has a lot of experience, and he's been doing this for a long time. The UFC came to my manager and they wanted to put the fight together. I haven't fought in a long time and I'm coming off a loss, so this made sense to me.
"He's a really good boxer, a good counter boxer. But I'm faster. I'm quick. I think (speed will be my big advantage). Besides, I think I'm better looking too.
"He has good stand up. His boxing is pretty good, one of the best in the weight class. Also his ground, he has a really good ground game so I gotta be aware of the ground."
And that's why this is a pretty good match-up, because opinions vary so much on it. IMO, Rashad is substantially better than current Lil Nog and should win this rather easily. I see it as an easier, name-win to rebuild the Rashad brand. KO, rather brutal, 2nd round. But, we'll see soon enough.
Agreed. He'd take him down, completely fail to do any damage whatsoever, and then Nog would get up, slap him around for a while, and Bader would follow with another non-damaging TD and more inability to control him, so Nog would get up again and slap him around.
If anything, Davis did a better job at keeping him down. To this day, I have not read a single convincing argument to defend that decision. In no sensible universe did Bader win that fight.
