Today, Josh Barnett dispelled rumors that he had indeed signed a contract with the UFC after his profile had shown up on their official website, UFC.com:

But seriously, beyond my profile being up on UFC.com, I am not signed to the UFC. Sorry you guys all got your hopes up.

I personally think its all about the PPV payout. The base salaries might be lower at the UFC but the none published pay is surely a lot higher then these amounts givng out at HBO.

Yeah. I've always disliked Barnett, but he's a legit heavyweight top 5, and the UFC needs help in its hw division.
