source: SPORTV.COM

With the knock out loss to Vitor Belfort , Michael Bisping lost the chance to face Anderson Silva and hence embolou the middleweight category (up to 84kg) UFC. Now, they appear as leading candidates are the very Belfort, Chris Weidman , Luke Rockhold and Rashad Evans , who is heavyweight (up to 93kg), but has said he would come down in weight if it were to face the Spider. The business owner's belt, Jorge "Joinha" Guimarães, reviewed the names and showed preference for Rockhold, Strikeforce middleweight champion and you just move to the UFC from other athletes extinct event:

- All of these are accredited, but we'd like a fight against Luke Rockhold is, what is the current Strikeforce champion. He is accredited to fight Anderson. It would be champion against champion. It's a good fight to promote - told SPORTV.COM.

We'll just agree to disagree if he's ducking I guess. I'd love to see the UFC do Andy vs Rockhold and have Weidman/ Lombard as the co-main event.  Winner gets the next shot but again, it appears Weidman is out for so much longer I'm not sure why there is even discussion of him in any fight.

he specifically mentions Weidman's record (9-0) as a reason why they turned down the fight. Now they're actively pursuing a fight against a guy who's 10-1 and zero UFC fights.

He said "Ya sure" when asked a question and it's obvious what Ariel was fishing for there.  He didn't say Anderson was afraid of Weidman.  He didn't say he wouldn't take the fight if offered a contract by the UFC.  Dana and Joe Silva have both stated several times that Anderson has never ducked a fighter and has always fought who they wanted.  I'll take that over pretty much anything.  Regarding Weidman, it's the same shit you guys did with Chael.  Anderson said he didn't think he deserved a rematch.  You all said he was "ducking" and it was him "turning the fight down."  He then beats the shit out of him and you move on to the next.  If he fights Weidman, you'll say he's ducking Vitor and Lombard.  If he fights Lombard, he's ducking Weidman and Vitor.  If he fights GSP, he's ducking all 3.  Do you see a pattern here?  Unless the UFC lines up 8 guys for him to fight in one night, you will all find someone to say he is ducking. And if you're going to pick one, at least pick one that isn't injured and out for a year.

"He then goes on to say Rashad is an interesting fight and they will wait on the UFC to decide who it is, basically saying they'll fight whoever."except Jon Jones whom he says is "out of the question" and Weidman that he admitted turning down.

Ariel:  Has the UFC brought up Weidman Manager:  They kind of mentioned it and we don't think it's the best fight right now Ariel:  So you turned it down? Manager:  Ya, sure.  He then goes on to say Rashad is an interesting fight and they will wait on the UFC to decide who it is, basically saying they'll fight whoever.

You only have one shot at a champion vs. champion fight. I always believe the UFC should do this when a champion from another organization has joined the UFC. Get it out of the way. Everyone always wonders "What if?". Lets actually find out since they are under the same banner.

... but those who say Fedor is the GOAT get ripped apart because he hasn't fought anyone noteworthy lately.   Once you start choosing softer opponents, I agree... you're not the GOAT anymore. And avoiding Weidman is a sign AS is starting to do this.   IIRC Chael was giddy after watching Weidman last time out, he knows what he'd do to AS
