Has he beaten any wrestlers of strong quality? Im asking, I haven't done thourough research on his past opponents. Wrestlers that keep him off his feet and stifle his jitz could put him in for a rough night.

Really? The guys he's fought have a combined record of 37-43, which goes to 21-37 if you don't count Reynolds. Out of the nine guys he's beaten only three guys have a winning record and out of the six guys with losing records two guys have no wins at all and two other guys are 1-7 and 1-8.So far the guys he's fought are the type of guys a UFC fighter could beat with one arm tied behind his back.

I know, right? I can't believe it either, this disgusting illiteracy is spreading like a wildfire. It's obviously spelled HARELIP, just like it's harebrained and not hairbrained. It's so disturbing to still see this kind of ignorance in these times. It's 2013. We really should have evolved past this kind of spelling as human beings.

I don't know, man. To me it is pretty simple - Is he beating the caliber of guys that it takes to get into the UFC? So far, he seems to be doing that. With a couple of the guys he's beaten, I see no reason why he couldn't beat many guys in Bellator and a numberin the UFC.

I like Nick, his fights are fun to watch and he has proven himself to be a talented fighter who does not crumple under lesser talent. Everyone feels good watching him win and triumphing over the difficulties he faces with his arm. BUT I understand the UFC's reluctance to thrust him onto the world stage. NO ONE will feel good if a kick curves up past that arm and brutally KO's him. People will always cheer for a hero overcoming the odds (whether it be size or a handicap such as Nick's) and in the other hand are they ready to face the reality that they might have to watch a fully capable man beat their feel good story into a bloody mess? For MMA it could be bad news. (not saying that its possible that we have come far enough that it could pass by like any other fight, but it is an unknown territory)

I dunno would you guys legit pay to see him fight? I just wouldn't like to see him get hurt... How does he tap if he's getting arm barred?

Yeah, I hear you all but I'm sorry, not having two full arms is not an advantage in any fundamental way, shape, or form. I think it is difficult for fully-limbed people to understand the disadvantages that someone like Newell has had to and still does over come in order to fight well.

I definitely wouldn't call it an advantage :)
