White: Diaz 'really close' to losing GSP title fight

Oops he did it again.

Nick Diaz was scheduled to fight GSP for the welterweight championship at UFC 137 when he no showed two pre-event press conferences. UFC president Dana White removed him from the title shot, and the attendant points on the PPV, etc.

Now Diaz has another shot at the title, and he has, despite statements from his attorney to the contrary, missed not two but three "UFC Primetime" interview sessions.

White does not want to scrap the UFC 158 title fight, but he will.

"I hope we don't come to that," said White said at Saturday's post fight media scrum. "I'm close, man. I'm really close. And I don't want to be. You know, it sucks, none of this is easy, these two girls worked their asses off this week, man, and I know what it feels like, it's not fun. It's part of the job."

"He did not (show up) – neither did his brother Nate. And we spent over $50,000 in production costs and guys cruising around Stockton, Calif., and not interviewing people.

"It's not funny. We're very cool and very lenient in a lot of ways. Look at this company. Look how we are. We let a lot of things fly. But that's just absolute bulls---."

"We've treated Nate and Nick with respect. Anytime they come in and want to negotiate their contracts, we do the things, we're good to everybody. At least give us the respect to show up and not blow $50 grand on not showing up for interviews you're supposed to do.

"All the fans are like, 'Shut up, Dana. Let Nick fight.' You shut up, idiots. This is how it works. This is how it work, okay? This is the job, this is what we do. Go to your job and tell your f---- boss ‘yeah I don't want to do this or do that.' That's not how it works. It's  part of the job. I've shown the Diaz brothers a ton of respect. They can show some respect back.

"I hope I don't even have to think about that. It's the last thing on earth I want to do."

Dude... He knows this site is strictly for retards. Did you see how fast he took up Dana White's battle cry? There is like a .0001% chance that he pulls this fight. UFC's luck has been bad enough without deliberate sabotage from an owner.

Dana has made it clear he's done fucking around with the childish behavior. Nick isn't just fighting for the title, he's fighting for his career. If he gets dominated or loses in a boring fight, I see zero possibility of Dana keeping him around.

Then, they can get paid at a pay grade that doesn't include promotional based revenue. Then we can listen to Nick cry about how much he gets paid. Again?!?!

Can you fucking imagine how stressed out Dana will be if Nick pulls off the upset. Im just imagining the look on Dana's face if he has to place that strap around Nick looool.

"This is a management problem, plain and simple. Nick has tried to articulate many times that if his coach tells him exactly what to do, he will do it. He clearly has issues that preclude him from being able to manage all aspects of his life and fighting. He needs someone there to tell him exactly when and where he needs to be. Ceasar takes a large portion of Nick's purse and I can't see what he actually does for Nick outside of training him. Nick needs to consider new management."I agree with this post. Life can get very hectic at times when in the spotlight, and it's nearly impossible to keep track of everything without some help. I don't suspect many people here understand.
