White: Hungry SF fighters raising the bar

The Strikeforce crossover fighters continued to impress Dana White on Saturday night, but none more than Robbie Lawler, who handed Josh Koscheck the first losing streak of his career on Saturday night.

"Strikeforce had hungry fighters," White said following this weekend's historic event. "These f---ing guys are hungry. Most of them haven't fought in a year. They didn't know what was going on with their career. Couldn't pay their bills. All this s---. Now they're in here and they know what it was like to be (over there). They're hungry, man. I love it."

"The Strikeforce kids, they're going to raise the bar on all these other guys."

The time that Alistair was champ in SF, brock was champ in UFC, and Overeem TKO'd him like nothin. Then, GSP fought shields, and that fight was boring and Shields did NOT get dominated or "owned" - They both respected eachother. Belfort will get schooled by Rockhold, and Gil's taking the belt. Gegard will beat Gustafsson as well. I don't think anyone SF LHW will be able to beat jones, though (excluding cormier). Jacare will put a dent in the MW div. as well.

Lol, it's not like people were saying the worst UFC fighters were better than the best SF fighters.  I think it's pretty safe to say the top level sf fighters aren't as good as the top level UFC fighters.  There are no current champs that come from SF and Gil is the only guy they have that's even a #1 contender.  They're not mutually exclusive ideas.  SF can be seen as a minor leagues while still having guys that are hungry raising the bar on guys in the UFC who would be comparitively below thier level Really the one issue I have with this quote is he throws out the troubles these fighters had in SF as if Zuffa didn't own them since 2011.

I don't agree that Strikeforce was a shitty place to be signed (before the talent pool was pillaged and sent to the UFC anyway) That being said, those guys being in the UFC now is the best thing to happen to the UFC in a long time!

I dont think Dana typed that.  Usually he doesn't take the time to use proper grammar and refer to himself in the 1st person.

For anyone else who doesn't get it, Dana is talking about all of the unfortunate Strikeforce fighters that were forced to sit on the shelf for so long. Strikeforce was such a shitty place to be signed that they are fighting like they never want to leave the UFC. And honestly, it's great to see. (Uh oh! Someone on this thread has a brain)

I know, right?  I could barely believe how delusional his post was either.
