I'm not saying it's number one, but Erick showed his "it" factor. Make this list again in 3 or 4 years and he's on it :)

Kinda surprised JBJ gets no love here. I know he didn't have a finish, but I remember thinking he looked spectacular for a debut.

Two out of three of those could easily have rounded out a traditional "Top-10" list.Vitor blew everyone's mind that night. I remember being as stunned as his opponents. Just "wow."And...as much as I now love JLau, he beat Jens Pulver. Which bummed me out at the time. Now of course, JLau has righteously become a huge fan favorite and top competitor in his own right.

I hear ya, but I think styles have to come into play as well.  As much as Werdum was ranked highly going into that fight, JDS KO'd a BJJer with his amazing boxing.  That's also why, although amazing, I don't put Anderson #1 either.  He got gifted the iron-chined Leben to put his pinpoint strikes on display.  Were both fights incredible?  Abso-fucking-lutely, but I don't think it was an incredibly difficult fight (even going into them) for either of them.   For that reason, I put JLau as the #1.  Styles (difficulty), hype, caliber, Joe has the best UFC debut I've ever seen.
