White: Leonard Garcia future 'not looking good'

Following Leonard Garcia's unanimous-decision loss to Cody McKenzie Saturday, UFC President Dana White admitted the prospects look bleak for Garcia getting another fight in organization.

UFC 159 night marked his fifth straight defeat in the UFC. Despite six "Fight of the Night" bonuses during his tenure with the UFC and WEC, Garcia hasn't won a fight via anything but split decision since 2008.

"He got beat - he even got beat standing up," said White after the fight. "Cody McKenzie beat him tonight, every way you can beat a guy."

"I don't want to say it, but it's not looking good."

anyone know his pay? 9k ish or 15k can't be that much since they kept him around so much. don't like seeing anyone lose their job but he should build on fights outside of the ufc and then make a comeback.

Leonard should teach Jon Fitch his crowd pleasing style. The UFC knows that the modern fan has no time for this "grappling" stuff, they want wild swinging and lots of it.

0-5 in his last 5 really should be an automic cut for anyone who isn't a former world champion, isn't coming off of a Fight Of The Year, and wasn't blatantly robbed, and the first two are merely optional exceptions. Garcia wasn't robbed. The fight wasn't anything amazing. He has never held a title. He lost by a wide margin. Should be an automatic cut. He can still win a few on the indies (well, at least three in a row at this point), and get called back. He also could open a gym with Donald Cerrone. He's not without options.

All of a sudden I want the UFC to book Garcia vs. Edgar just to see whether or not you spend the cash.

How many other low card fighters get a news story of the boss talking about their future especially guys 1-6?   LOL the UFC actually believes he has a following and people love his swing and miss and act like you won style.   RIdiculous

The part I like is even Garcia throwing his hands up at the end like "What do you want me to do?"
