Jones' toe healing properly

Jon Jones suffered a gnarly broken toe at UFC 159 in his bout versus Chael Sonnen. While pushing off the canvas, the pressure caused the big toe in his left foot to break hard, ripping the skin and exposing the bone. You can relive the break in the GIF below:

Jones only realized the toe was broken after commentator Joe Rogan pointed it out during the post-fight interview. Jones was treated in the cage and back stage before eventually making it to the hospital. Some doctors criticized the immediate treatment of the injury, but it looks as though Jones is healing properly and on his way to recovery. He tweeted a couple updates this morning:

The alignment of my bones are healing spot on and the skins closing with no infections

Loving my new heavy duty boot!! great news from the doctors today

I remember reading somewhere that it was a dislocation not a break. (Probably on here). Any news on what the injury was?

Jones has some skinny bones, I think if someone with strong leg kicks can set them up and somehow land a few really nice ones, it might seriously do damage. How the fuck do you land a leg kick on that fucker though ?

That Jones didn't go to the hospital immediately after and chose to attend the post-fight press conference. The ringside physician or whoever said they can't make a fighter do anything. They did their job and treated the wound. Jones chose to stay.

He needs to get some cream for those toe nails as well. Nasty.

Maybe he should get another boot to help him develop those chicken legs.
