Askren: Bellator barely drug tests

Ben Askren offers up a very simple explanation for that. Bellator hardly ever drug tests.

“Just read the article on why Bellator fighters don’t fail drug tests,” Askren tweeted Sunday. “Hard to fail a test when you don’t take it. Only been tested once!

“Don’t really care that we aren’t tested bc cheaters will cheat no matter what! Just thought the articles was really silly.”

I find it almost impossible not to like Ben Askren. He was the most exciting wrestler in the NCAAs and I think he's a huge problem for every fighter on the planet at 170.

What I really LOVE about this is that Bellator has tons of cards on reservations and instead of fighting under REAL mma rules (soccer kicks, knees on the ground, etc.) the rule they decide to ignore are DRUG TESTS... The fans just CANNOT WIN in mma today......

Viacom owning Bellator, fucking over fighters like Alvarez, competing with the UFC, and now no drug testing... We are witnessing the collapse of an organization.

I don't think drug testing has got anything to do with where the UFC holds events, the only factor that matters to them is ticket sales. If there is no commission in place they do their own testing. I also don't think that not having testing has got anything to do with where Bellator holds it's events, as again, it is all to do with selling tickets (or in this case, not having to sell tickets as they get a site fee from the casinos).

cindyo is a complete joke, her opinion is pure shillery , she has no knowledge about the industry from the inside and doesnt understand 5% of what she is talking about. i wouldnt be surprised if she secretly worked for the UFC and was paid to spread this anti bellator propaganda.

So you admit that Bellator is purposely risking the health of their fighters. Not only that, they're encouraging them down a path of various drug use, from peds to pain killers. All in the name of their tournament format.
