T.J. Grant: Title shot with win 'is what it is'

Andy Cotterill from MM-eh caught up with Cole Harbour, Nova Scotia’s TJ Grant just 7 days before his lightweight contender fight against the always tough Gray Maynard at UFC 160, set for May 25th, 2013 in Las Vegas.

Hear what TJ has to say about preparing for Maynard with help from Charlie Brenneman and Chris Feist (Johny Hendricks' teammate at Team Takedown), how he’s handling the knowledge that winning against Maynard will give him a shot at UFC champ Benson Henderson’s belt, and what it’s like being a new father.

I know it's the laziest go to answer in every interview. Dana is the worst offender but I guess it is what it. . . Ah for fuck sake!

Heh ya, I'm a bit of a TJ mark. I figure folks seeing the name were scratching their heads....not for long. 8-)

TJ's wrestling has always been good, but after this camp it's better than ever. Check out the video to see him practicing a little with both Charlie Brenneman, and Chris Feist (6-0 and Johny Hendricks training partner). I've got a lot more video that I might release after the fight.

TJ will bring it.  His striking is much better than Maynard's.  his wrestling is underrated and he will not give up easy takedowns except maybe at the end of the round, and Gray will at best stall him out from the top.  TJ has the better overall ground game easily.

TJ is looking sharp, guys. Regardless of the outcome, I can hardly wait to see this fight.
