PETA launches free, online MMA game

People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) have launched a free, online MMA-themed flash game, allowing you to inhabit a fighter (Jake Shields, Georgi Karakhanyan, or Aaron Simpson) and smash animal experimenters, and free animals.

It is Django Unchained for animal lovers.

The game has a variety of features including:
•Interviews with your fighter:
•Sign online petitions;
•Write letters.

If it is too easy, you can step up the difficulty with a secret code:
tempehrun

No one knows the code but you, so burn it once entered.

or use built in features to write letters to stop animal cruelty or sign petitions. If that's not enough, hardcore gamers can also increase the difficulty be entering the super-secret code "tempehrun," to add a whole new level of intensity to the game.

"The PETA video game is an absolutely incredible, innovative, unique way to reach people that might not be aware of the cruelty that these animals endure," says featured character Arianny Celeste. "Gamers that probably wouldn't go to the PETA website are now becoming aware of things that are happening every day."

Thanks to BlooodyElbow for the find.

"billions, actually. they also are responsible for global warming, taking away your guns, and are currently plotting to blow up the sun."Oh look it's a woman trying to win an argument with exaggeration. What a novel concept.

I also think PETA funds would be better spent on trying to rehouse/save the animals they kill rather than spending on legal fees for direct action activists.I would image that the average person giving PETA a donate would expect their contribution to some how directly contribute to the welfare of animals rather than going to the lawyers of arrested activists (like the arsonist that they gave 70k to for his criminal defence after her was arrested for firebombing a Michigan State University research facility.This isn't an isolated case. Its not that I am against direct action but this is retarded.

Congratulations, you're giving free publicity to a group who sends death threats to cancer researchers, like my fiancee, who are working on treatments for diseases that kill millions, including my mother.Good job! You're awesome!
