Dana White: Bellator will never be as good as the UFC

Bellator Fighting Championships has made some big stridges in the world of mixed martial arts and defined itself as the second biggest promotion in the United States. But can it be as big as the UFC? Definitely not according to UFC President Dana White:

"They're never going to be as good as us," UFC President Dana White told MMAjunkie.com. "This is what we do 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Christmas. Easter. Let Christmas time come. Viacom shuts down from Dec. 3 to after the new year and then all the big holidays in between. Christmas? I'm on the f---ing phone on Christmas. Easter? I'm on the phone. Thanksgiving? I'm on the phone. Bad s--t happens in our business every day, and if something real bad happens, I'm on a f---ing plane on Christmas Day flying to fix it. That's the difference between us and everybody else.

"Nobody's ever going to outwork us or outhustle us. That's just never going to happen. It's impossible."

Fact of the matter is both had contractual obligations to their respective organizations. If Anderson fought the last fight of his contract and wanted to leave to box RJJ or fight for another promotion, and Zuffa had a matching clause which they did indeed match, he would be stuck too.Just like when posters say a fighter shouldn't complain about pay because he signed the contract, they shouldn't complain about a matching clause when they signed the contract agreeing to said matching clause (or anything else part of executed contract).

But that was his point your (purposely misspelled for "the spelling guy") comparing companies that sell different products. UFC and Bellator basically sell the same product.

They still do big gates.  and the AC are the ones who test in the US but UFC goes to states that test, Bellator picks alot of places that dont.   Imagine the UFC picking a state that doesnt test and then put Reem on it or something.  WHat would fans be saying?  They would say the UFC is placing guys who are suspected cheats or drug users and putting Diaz or Reem on cards in places that dont test to protect them.  But Bellator goes to these places that dont test alot and nobody says shit.    Imagine if no failed test ever came out in the UFC?  What would haters be saying?  UFC doesnt test, the sport is a joke, UFC paying off commissions not to suspend and release testing info etc.

Fans like him will continue to bring up Randy cause it got ugly and went to court so they will compare it to Eddie even though they arent the same thing.  Randy still had fights left on his contract, Eddie completed his and is claiming they didnt match.

Gate aren't as big a deal when it comes to casino shows. They pay the promoter a fee to put the show on in order to get people in the casino.
