JDS: I no longer want to fight Overeem

Junior Dos Santos and Alistair Overeem were scheduled to fight at UFC 126, but the former K-1, but Overeem was caught in a surprise PED test, and was removed from the card.

Dos Santos has since said he does not want to fight a man "made in a lab." Overeem countered that JDS was afraid to take the fight.

Now dos Santos has hardened in his resolve, saying that he was avenged by the defeat of Overeem by Bigfoot at UFC 156.

“Bigfoot put him on his place," said dos Santos. "I no longer feel the wish to face him but I fight whomever the UFC puts in front of me. I will train aiming that guy and to be very well prepared to win."

“The limited fighters, guys who don’t believe in themselves, who don’t dedicate to the training and don’t take it seriously are the ones who make it to call for attention. They do it to hype themselves.

“It’s not that he is bad. He is an excellent fighter and he has great accomplishments in his career. You see Sonnen making controversial statements as well but I’m not saying anything bad about him.

“Have you see Sonnen? He is an excellent athlete… but he is better as a commentator.”

He's never shown that he's been lost (other than the Cain fight, who is a wrestler/kick boxer with extraordinary cardio and not like overeem). Overeem doesn't have the huge threat of the takedown that would compromise junior's striking to a significant degree - so the well roundness as you assert to be the game changer is over estimated for that reason. It is anecdotal to say the least. Lol @ asking where are his submission wins to deduce his lack of ground game. As far as your Thai clinic, there's not much to say as that is nothing more than a bold prediction with no real convincing evidence

Didn't Cain only have to get one win to get another title shot? This kind of thing is fairly common in the UFC.

He could still outbox and beat Overeem though.

A) Via being more well rounded that JuniorB) Where are Juniors sub wins? What are the signs that he even owns a DECENT ground game? What did he do to Cain?Junior has threw one kick that I know of and had success with it (Hunt)m but other than that? He is one dimensional.

Yea that's how it works, let me debate your unsubstantiated claim that a Dutch kick boxer is going to out a Thai clinic on a guy whose only loss in the ufc is to the current lineal HW champ. Burden of proof is on you smarty.
