Anderson Silva vlog backstage after the loss

Anderson Silva lost for the first time ever in the UFC Saturday night, and released a moving vlog of the aftermath on his youtube channel.

Rapper Usher, boxer Roy Jones Jr., and soccer player Ronaldo were among those in attendance offering consoloation.

"Don't feel bad, keep your head up," said Jones. "You're the best ever, you understand? By far..."

So much respect for Anderson, as a fighter, and a human being. The way he has handled himself after this loss is something else.

The collection of photos at the end set to Bill Withers was incredible. It really brings out a great range of emotions hearing such a sad song while seeing photos of Anderson that range from inspiring to somber to funny. I also think that seeing Anderson fighting back tears should probably be all the evidence anyone needs to see that he didn't go out to the cage intending to lose. Couple it with the post fight presser footage and if you didn't understand why Anderson taunts his opponents with his hands down, that should clear it up for you. Paraphrasing, Anderson says that he does it to try to lure his opponents into his game and that he doesn't do any moves with the intent to disrespect his opponents. It's not that he wasn't taking the fight seriously. It's that he was taking Weidman's takedowns and ground game very seriously and was trying to taunt Weidman into a striking bout. I'm glad Silva's camp decided to release this video to the public. Not only is it very well done, it's just great seeing behind the scenes of his camp. They were very considerate to put in subtitles in English whenever Portuguese was being spoken and vice versa. I would have been interested in watching the video even if it was just the raw camera footage, but this is edited and pieced together very nicely.I'm very excited about this rematch.

I understand this is your way of saying that he should cheer up but it doesn't seem like you have much of a grasp on the mental or emotional dimension of becoming a UFC champion and holding the belt for the better part of a decade. I suppose most people don't.
