UFC women's bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey is set to multitask like a beast, simultaneously training for her fight with Miesha Tate at UFC 168 on Dec 28, and filming for The Expendables 3 in Bulgaria.
Rousey's role in the Sylvester Stallone scripted film is not minor. with, according to MMAJunkie, appearances in over 20 scenes, with 35 lines of dialogue (plus presumably a great deal od beating up and killing bad guys). Rousey plays an athletic bartender named Luna, something she is familiar with as, following her medal-winning effort representing the USA in Olympic Judo, Rousey worked as a bartender, before determining upon a career in MMA.
As difficult as it might be to move a training camp to Bulgaria and sandwich it between shots, co star and UFC Hall of Famer Randy Couture is prepared to help.
“I would be happy in both the film genre and the fight front to work with Ronda," said Couture. "She’s a very exciting fighter, hugely talented, and she’s got a bright, bright future ahead of her... Hopefully time will permit and we’ll have a chance to get on the mat, and we’ll see if she can Armbar me.”
