Jones: I won decisively, Gustafsson rematch not necessary

The news broke via Twitter.

UFC Tonight @UFCTonight
Jones says since he feels that he decisively won the fight and isn't sure if @AlexTheMauler should get an immediate rematch.

Further reports were even more emphatic - no rematch for Gus.

“[Jones) told me he did not break his foot. It's just a deep bruise and he should be good to go in a few weeks," said Ariel Helwani on UFC Tonight. "Right after the fight, [Jones] thought the most fair thing to do was to grant Alexander Gustafsson a rematch. Now, after watching the fight over ten more [times], Jones thinks he decisively won rounds two, four and five and that he decisively won the fight, so the most fair thing to do is to move on."

UFC president Dana White will meet with UFC co-owner Lorenzo Fertitta to discuss who is next for Jones, but it does not look like it will be Gustafsson.

Jones is the Paris Hilton of MMA, imo. Thinks he's god's gift to this earth and then shits all over everybody and doesn't understand why basically every one hates him as a person (this is not a comment on his fighting skills). Thanks God for helping me win! Too bad you were busy sports betting and let 1000 children die of starvation every hour. Glad you are tuning into UFC and helping Jon "douche" Jones win fights instead of people who really need it.Thanking God for your victory is the most selfish, narcissistic thing you can do in my opinion. Like many young people who become "celebrities", they start to think the world revolves around them and are delusional as a result. Either Jon Jones has brain damage or he is suffering from a delusion. Or maybe Greg Jackson spoons him and whispers things into his ear at night until he believes it.

so you've polled all the fans? and you're still holding on to that "not decisive"...that's just YOUR interpretation/opinion. a unanamous decision by all 3 judges IS decisive, imo.

how could he have coasted if...1. the rounds could have gone either way? 2. Gus himself said "you have to take the title"..?did he look like a man trying to "take the title" to you?

I thought JBJ won but like over 90 percent of fans I know it was very close (not decisive) and I also said (3 fuckin times) that I wrote a thread saying you can't prove JBJ did not win 2, 4 & 5." No way to say 2, 4 & 5 for JBJ has to be wrong!"http://www.mixedmartialarts.com/mma.cfm?go=forum.posts&thread=2230323&page=1I did NGAF who won BTW nor if Glover got a shot next or not. This is all nonsense you're talking as usual. I

fantasy world? you mean b/c Bones won? the judges had him winning. most media had him winning. but, i'm in a fantasy world b/c i had him winning? he won. there's nothing to debate. you keep bringing up conclusive, but it was in a lot of people's eyes. 4 rounds to 1 by 1 judge AND the man who probably was watching the most intently(Glover) b/c he was facing 1 of them next. but you have to put it under a microscope because YOU didn't like the outcome...

Get out of here dude. Even though he was visibly exhausted in the fifth round (never fought 5 rounds in his life), he was still on the attack against and even threw a spinning attack when he could have coasted. You can tell as an MMA fan that he gave it his all and left it all in the cage. If you can't see that, then I don't know what to tell you.
