JDS: I don't know what went wrong in last fight

"Tell them everything I know, I learned from the losses," the great boxer Jack Dempsey told a biographer.

Satuday night in the main event at UFC 166, Junior Dos Santos will have a rematch with Cain Velasquez. He lost every round of the last fight back in December, showing above all a staggering ability to not get knocked out.

The big question is, what did dos Santos learn from the loss, that will reverse the outcome in this fight? Santos appeared on "UFC Tonight' and was asked what went wrong in their second fight?

“It’s hard to know," said dos Santos. "I don’t know. I don’t really know that. I think it was everything. Everything was too much for me at that time. Cain Velasquez did an excellent job and he beat me.”

“I think we showed a little of ourselves in each fight. In the first fight, I knocked him out, which is something I did a lot before. The second fight showed how he fights. Now we’ve learned more about each other and it’ll be great for the fans.

“Nobody likes to lose. I learned a lot. I’m smarter now and I have a lot more experience and I’m going to use that.”

What do you think went wrong for dos Santos the last fight? And what can he do to change it?

He should have learned two things; keep your hands up and don't get hit in the face, repeatedly. Ees seemple.

His lack of understanding gives him no basis for making adjustments... and will remain a source of doubt for his next fight. At least he was confident going into the last one.

Kindof agree with kick box and subwrestler. Doesn't seem like his camp broke down the last fight and revised the game plan. As much as as i can't stand him, Greg Jackson would have a better plan.

A quick survey of photos from the start of each round suggests that JDS experienced some form of Acute Rapid Aging Syndrome, aging nearly 20 years in 25 minutes followed by a slower reverse aging process over the weeks and months afterward then ultimately stabilizing somewhere close to his actual birth age.If he can stay within 10 years of his age throughout the course of this fight, I say he has a shot.
