Cro Cop: UFC stars, Jones included, should be fired

"I don't know what to say. It's nice that they came, that they graced us with their presence. But on the flip side, I think Dana White is going to grow his hair back when he sees them here. Jon Jones is the light heavyweight champion. Werdum is fighting Cain next for the heavyweight belt. Those are people under contract with UFC. Now they come over here as guests. Do your seminar, okay? Do the seminar and go. They came over, sat in the front row at the press conference. Took photos. All of that sends a bad message.

I would never do that, never. If I am under contract with another organization, whether it be UFC, PRIDE ... if I'm under contract -- and they all are -- under a multiple fight UFC contract, I would never do it. Do a seminar maybe, but I would never appear at a press conference, let alone stand in front of banners that have a logo of a different organization. We all took photos together. I'm the main event. Unbelievable. They basically came over to promote a totally new organization. Dana White is going to go mad, 100 percent, totally justifiable in my opinion.

I would go mad, too, I would fire them all. Of course, those are fighters who bring the UFC money, but they didn't think it through and it comes off unprofessional. I would never do that. Dana White's hair is going to grow back for sure when he sees this. Mildly put, I think Dana White is going to be pissed off!"

its kinda conflict of interest. that competing mma organization can potentially benefit from using those photos and what not of the ufc fighters because it will seem like an endorsement of quality. -------------------------------------------------------------- Well that's not quite the definition or illustration of what a conflict of interest is.  You are sort of contradicting yourself.   If the small organization didn't advertise that UFC guys were going to be a special guest AND the promotion used the opportunity to reach out to them because they were there, that doesn't benefit them at all. If on the other hand they did advertise that the UFC guys were going to be at the Promotion's event, the intent there is to make money off of them and by proxy the UFC.  If the fighters knew of their names being adverstised then that qualifies as a conflict of interest. So which one applied in this case with Jones and Werdum?

Actually this AND the fact that he, heath and fedor are the reason for PRIDE's demise directly for showing up at k1 events sparking the war between the orgs. So he sees it potentially happening again..

Exactly. Crockpot said it was very nice and the UFC fighter were very nice. But he said he knows how Dana is, and him personally, he wouldn't do it. Seemed like the same old cool Cro Cop to me.

A random thought: The UFC may have "partnered" with this organization to help expand their presence into Russia.

Ring announcer officially invited Werdum to enter the ring right after the main event. With Fedor

It's not even the endorsement it's the attention it would garner for something at the "Needs views and eyeballs" stage that wouldn't get them without the top company's stars.     This is classic example of something Zuffa would lose it's shit over, Crocop is bang on, the lack of reaction is kind of strange, if they were in front of a Bellator or M1 banner Dana would be apoplectic
