Hendricks: I'm going to finish GSP next time

Never leave it in the hands of the judges. The statement couldn't ring truer for Johny Hendricks who believed he had done enough to win the UFC welterweight title. St-Pierre got the split decision, but in Hendricks's mind that the past, and now he is focusing on the changes he needs to make to ensure a different outcome in the rematch:

When the time comes, a confident Hendricks says he will get the finish and won't allow judges to be a factor, as he recently declared on "The MMA Hour:"

"I'm over it, I'm looking forward to the future. It's all I can do at this point. To sit and dwell on it, it is what it is. Just move forward and I know I'm going to get him again if he doesn't retire. Next time, I am going to make sure it doesn't go to judges. There is a couple of things I am going to take into my hands, literally, and I'm going to do things differently to finish GSP. I had him rocked in the second round and I am going to finish it next time."

He was trying to beat GSP at his own game.

Close your eyes, take a deep breath, and let it go.  Maybe you can get the "Best of GSP" box set and reminisce over his career.  The future is here and clearly GSP isn't the best in the world any longer.  Just like you've been doing since the fight, keep starting more Hendricks threads so you can all discuss him, but try and get over the loss.

A Hendricks fan telling others to let it go. You're not very bright, are you?

Ha...this.  It really does bother them knowing GSP lost so they bombard every thread trying to shit on JH's performance.  They should be happy he had such an amazing career but it's clear his time is up and they just don't want to let go.  Let go guys.  Let go.

Damn you guys are idiots.  He never said he "gave 70% in the fight" but I see it's what you GSP nuthuggers will continue to hold onto and focus on.  He never said he only tried 70% for takedowns, never said he only used 70% for takedown defense, never said he only built his cardio up to 70% of what it could be, never said he kicked at 70%.  I see by your comment that he should give 100% that you've never worked out in your life.  I tell you what.  Sign up for a 1/2 marathon (13.1 miles) and run it at 100%.  As soon as the gun goes off, begin sprinting like you've never sprinted before.  Come back and tell us how far you made it. But hey, whatever you need to make youself feel better knowing GSP got handled and beat to shit in the fight, and everyone knows it.

Johnny did 90 percent of his damage defending takedowns and throwing hardshots at GSP when they were tied together. I think based on the standup it wasn't a close fight. GSP outlanded him significantly outside of when they were tied up

Hendricks can do 100 interviews talking about what he should've done. The fact remains he didn't give 100% when he had his chance. He decided to give 70% and he came up short. Title shots don't come very often, if you have a shot a title you need to leave it all out there. Give 100% and let the chips fall where they may. If he had been punching at 100% in the first few rounds he probably would've finished the fight.

It is bullshit. What kind of idiot goes into what is probably going to be the most important fight of his career against a man who has been undefeated for 5-6 years and doesn't train in order to be able to give 100% 5 X 5 minutes??
