Aldo: I want to break every UFC record

The goal of every fighter is to become the UFC champion. The goal of every champion however, is to build a legacy, and that's exactly what Jose Aldo wants to do:

“First, I have to beat Ricardo Lamas,” Aldo said. “But fighting Anthony Pettis is a possible opportunity I really like. It would be a new challenge, and I’d certainly consider that possibility, but it’s not just up to me. I have to talk with my coaches and team and consider the future of my career.”

It’s a career that still has much potential on the horizon. For Aldo, that includes an ascension to the highest pinnacle of the sport.

“I’m very young, and I still have a lot to accomplish,” Aldo said. “But I feel like I can be the greatest ever. I want to break every UFC record.”

No one has even come close to beating him in.....geez.....has he ever been in trouble?I only saw his late WEC fights and he looked like one the best fighters I'd ever seen.In the UFC, he may just be getting a tad complacent. Absolute stud, and again, in my opinion, all things considered, one of the best ever.

If he was fighting the same level guys that was in the WEC he would look even better now than he did then. He might be even more amazing as a LW, but he went 5 rounds with Edgar, so I doubt the weight cut is affecting his cardio(if that's what you were implying).

He`s a bad sumbitch. He`s somebody that could possibly do something like that.

This.  Cruz- Barao was supposed to be a title unification, hence it got the top billing.  Faber just lucked out with Cruz getting injured again.

I think that's the reason he doesn't sell in America, he makes it look easy but doesn't showboat in any way. Nothing about him is flashy and he shows almost no emotion during a fight. He mostly throws jabs and leg kicks and has incredible defense, so his fights are usually quite clinical. That being said, his KO and then celebration at ufc 142 is one of my top 5 moments in MMA, easily. Aldo vs Pettis is Brazilian stadium worthy, so I think he will find more widespread success.

He hasnt looked as awesome as he has in wec. Still pretty damn good either way of course. But I think its the weight cut is starting to catch up to him and holds him back the most.
