Koscheck plans to fight out contract

A member of the first ever season of the Ultimate Fighter, Josh Koscheck has been fighting inside the UFC for ten years. However, having lost his last three fights in a row, fans speculated that it might time to retire. Koscheck though, wants to at least fight out his existing contract with the UFC:

“I’ve been training my whole life,” Koscheck told ESPN.com. “I’ve never had a break. I feel like I need to get away and take some time off and enjoy life.

“At this point, I’m still coming back. I have two more fights on my contract, and I plan on fighting those out and seeing if I want to continue. I’m obligated to two more fights with the UFC.

“I’ve been called twice for fights, and I told the UFC, ‘no.’ I’m not ready yet.”

I just hope he does what most wrestlers who fall in love with their standup SHOULD do when they start getting KOd consecutively... and thats start sharpening up that wrestling and top control game again and become the brutal GnP'ers they were always supposed to be. I swear... some guys would have so much more career longevity if they just switched that one thing up when they start losing their punch resistance.

I agree with most of you. Kos needs to wrestle more and put the hurt on ppl from the guard gsp style then look for the overhand right later in the fight. He has all the tools to beat anyone he just has bad game plans i guess. I wanna see him go on another run but the way WW division is good luck. Matt Brown will fight for the title soon im sure.

I think he will win his next 2 , as long as he doesn't have to fight the top 5 blokes! Put him against shields next

Good for him. Would be a shame to go out on such a brutal KO.

Great to hear, no shame in those two losses while standing and banging against two of bigger punchers of the division

True but still an awesome all rounder and I would love to see him make another run.

Koscheck got screwed in that Hendricks fight. He's very durable, I just wish he'd go to ATT or something.
