Cyborg to make 135 debut in late summer

Cris Cyborg is perhaps the biggest threat to UFC champion Ronda Rousey, that is of course if she can make the 135 lb. bantamweight limit, which she hopes to do for the first time this summer:

After Friday, her schedule is for a May MMA fight in Invicta at 145 pounds, a July return to Muay Thai with Lion Fights, also at 145, and then making 135 for the first time for an Invicta fight in either August or September.

She said if it was up to her, she'd like to fight every two months, and if there's an opening, she's also up for competing in jiu-jitsu tournaments this year.

"I (will) try to make 135," she said. "I will try. I think it's very important to make 135 so I can fight for the belt, and because I want to keep that weight class because there are more girls I can fight. I can fight a superfight. I'm already the champ at 145 (she holds the featherweight title with Invicta). I don't want to be selfish. I want one more belt. If I can fight at 135 for the belt, it's okay. I can fight at 145 and be more healthy. But it's not possible at 145 or a catch weight because Ronda is running from me. If I make 135, Ronda can't run."

She has a serious problem if she is still talking about Ronda. Had your chance, blew it, move on.

That's what I am saying. By MMA scoring system, she would have won (4 or 5 rounds). This is the first time I saw her face mangled, though. Jorina showed experience when Cyborg had her cornered several times and was punching her over and over.Overall, a great fight.

She did not land more clean strikes and lost two 10-8 and lost one 10-9 round, She won two 10-9 rounds so she clearly was beat. Her strength kept her it though. her last standing 8 was wrong but she got a break on one in the 2nd or 3rdIt sure is different from MMA though Strikes are the least important thing and kicks are the most important

She just lost her muay thai title belt by decision... Muay thai rules are weird. I thought she won. I think she dropped the Dutch girl 6 times in the sixth round...She took knees to the jaw that dropped her, but the Dutch chick ate a lot of bombs, Cyborg controlled the clinch, had ring control and landed more strikes. Then again, I know nothing of muay thai rules.I guess every time a kick takes you down, you lose one point...
