Miesha Tate earns hard fought win over Liz Carmouche

The co-main event of the UFC on FOX 11 featured a women's bantamweight title between two former number one contenders, Liz Carmouche and Miesha Tate.

After a lackluster first two rounds, Miesha Tate went for broke in the final round of her UFC on FOX 11 fight with Liz Carmouche.

Tate poured it on, looking for the finish, in a furious final five minutes. She succeeded in getting Carmouche into a rear-naked choke that would have made most opponents tap.

Carmouche didn't tap, and went the distance. But the effort was enough to seal the fight. The former Strikeforce women's bantamweight champ got back into the win column with a unanimous decision on Orlando, taking across-the-board, 30-27 scores.

And I think she'd lose to Alexis Davis and Sara McMann and might as well be beaten by Jessica Eye. Kaufman already defeated her.

Terrible politics by the UFC.2 chicks with losing records face off in an irrelevant bout that is guaranteed to go to decision and ends up getting boos in the first round.Meanwhile, winning men on tears are placed below them.

Are these the exact same people that want it both ways? Which posters in particular are you talking about?Personally I want consistency, it's fucked up for Liz that she gets no win bonus when others have fought exactly like her and won unanimous decisions

She struggled with Kedzie, Finished by Zingano, Finished by Rousey, iffy win against Carmouche. She needs some good quality wins

One thing is for sure: Miesha's confidence is somewhat broken...

^ It would be stupid to cut Carmouche. Most of the division would be 1-3 if they faced the same opponents. Look at Raquel Pennington. She couldn't even beat Andrade.

Very glad Carmouche lost. Hope she isn't invited back.

Have you guys actually wrote down names to ensure that it is the exact same people making these claims? It could be possible that these are two separate groups of people that you are simply lumping together as one.

I agree with you, they complain about the rules then complain when clingers don't get the nod.
