Alexis Davis has built a 16-5 professional MMA record over the past seven years and with three straight wins in the UFC will fight Ronda Rousey for the UFC Women's Bantamweight title next.
Rousey is a bonafide super star and has defended the UFC title twice and has eight professional wins by armbar, but Davis isn't worried and feels like she can shut that part of Rousey's game down:
"This is gonna be a tough fight. I definitely think I am going to be able to stop the armbar. This is something I train constantly everyday. Obviously she has been doing it in Judo for so long but I have been training mixed martial arts for a long time, a lot of years. I train with world champion black belts. It's not a problem for me. Black belts armbar me everyday. I am not afraid to say that, but you know what? I defend them more often than I get them."
Rousey is known for her armbar, but in her most recent title defense stopped Sara McMann by knee to the liver, so even if Davis can stop the armbar, Rousey has other tools that are sure to give her a tough test.
