Invicta FC signs multi-year deal to air events on UFC Fight Pass

The UFC and Invicta FC have just announced that Invicta FC events will now stream exclusively on Fight Pass, the UFC's $7.99/month* service. In addition, the seven historical events of the all women production will also be available

“This is a great day for my company," said Invicta FC president Shannon Knapp. "Since the start of Invicta, I’ve been committed to providing the biggest and best possible platform for women athletes and, with this distribution deal with UFC Fight Pass, Invicta will reach the most passionate MMA fans, wherever they are in the world."

UFC Fight Pass chief content officer Marshall Zelaznik offered further details.

“This is a historic multi-year, multi-event deal,” he said. “When we launched UFC Fight Pass last Christmas, we said that we would never rest in bringing the best value to our subscribers. The addition of live and archived Invicta programming is going to be of enormous interest to our existing subscribers and bring in new subscribers, too.”

Invicta FC will announce their next show shortly. It is expected to be in late summer.

*With one year commitment. Ongoing subscription with auto renew that can be cancelled at any point is $9.99 monthly.

I can see Zuffa using Invicta as a farm leauge for there womens division and when its been built up and all highly recognizable names are out there they will dismantle it and incorporate the fighters into the UFC. Anybody who doubts it should just think back a few short years ago to WEC and the lighter weight classes. Even if they don't own it now, they will

This is awesome for me. I don't have cable, but I do have Fight Pass! Now it just costs me for fight pass, unless its going to cost extra for the live events... Either way, it's worth it to support Invicta. They always put on a great show.

Love Bas, but I agree he's not been strong on commentary in recent times.

Bas is fucking garbage on commentary. He hasnt been good since he left pride and is a waste of cash.

With the FightPass deal they'll almost certainly have a higher budget and will have more people to run things backstage, which is important. I don't forsee Knapp changing the commentary team and would prefer she retains control over things like that. I actually don't have a huge problem with King Mo and would prefer Bas Rutten to Mauro, but I seem to be in the minority on that. What I really don't want is the UFC controlling the way the show is produced. Shannon Knapp and Dana White will have to work out arrangements on scheduling to avoid conflicts and how shows very close together might affect outside talent like referees and whatnot, but it should be up to Invicta how to run their shows. Shannon Knapp runs a very tight ship.

Nakamoto's knee was torn all to fuck unfortunately, so she won't be ready in time. I put Budd in there, against Tamikka Brents in what is an unofficial Title Eliminator (it's more an eliminator for Budd, although Brents is a monster). Rothenhausler vs. Tweet could work actually, but I still think they should sign people like Jozette Cotton if they make a 155 division. Maybe try and coax Yamanaka out of retirement too. 155 will be paper thin for a while but if you have a major stage for it like Invicta, the talent will come. It'll take a while, but it'll happen. Same with 145.
