White: I don't want to hear any bullsh*t if I sign Cyborg

Every time Ronda Rousey fights she looks more and more unbeatable. She has handily defeated every opponent the UFC has thrown at her and is without a doubt one of it's biggest stars. The only fight looming over her head, at least to hard core fans, is a showdown with Cris 'Cyborg' Justino. Cyborg is considered by those same fans, and a lot of media, maybe the only true test for Rousey.

Of course the question of fighting Cybrog came up in the post-fight media scrum, and Dana White addressed in the only way you would expect him too:

“I just don’t want to hear your bullsh-t if I do (sign her) because this sh-t is going to flip as soon as I sign her – about drug testing and all the other bullsh-t,” White said. “It’ll be the biggest f-cking topic. It’ll be the biggest f-cking story for you to write. Oh my f-cking God. The script will flip immediately.”

Guarantee? That's why we have the fights in the first place. Possibly you need to go back and watch Rondas last fight with Misha Tate. It's not as though she threw her to the ground and instantly arm locked her. Cyborg is a much more talented fighter the Misha Tate.I will admit that one this technique in confidence in her striking has grown leaps and bounds. But let's not mistake anything here, that is not by accident. Rhonda is good for the sport and helps crossover into mainstream by bringing legitimacy through her judo accolades. She's attractive and not only speaks English, which cyborg does not do well, but speaks in a great way to promote. This along with the idea of building anticipation since it is going to be the biggest female fight, are the reasons why it's in Dana in the UFC's best interest to put the fight off for a while.By the time the fight does happen the gap between them in the standup department will be less significant. Dana will have a chance at protecting his investment. Plus, they can build up a huge story… Not to mention who else is she going to fight that's going to build any interest if she fights Cyborg right off the bat.Again, no mistake about it though. All the steroid talk and put offs are not the real reasoning behind any decision that Dana or the UFC makes. You have to admit there is no arguing that.

You guys need to read the quote again. He's clearly setting the stage to sign Cyborg. He's trying to get ahead of steroid complaints that he thinks the media will lob at him once they sign Cyborg. She's just been announced to make her 135 debut in Invicta, which will be aired on fight pass most likely. You guys are getting angry at nothing.

Zuffa has done great things for MMA ,but Since when has a failed drug test got in the way of Dana White making money?Shit, the glorified mouth piece Sonnen not only failed a drug test once ,he got a title shot in a heartbeat after and failed another one. If anyone doubts that he will yet again be fighting under the UFC again , they are on crack! But that's the UFC for ,noting more than cronyism plain and simple . Any fighter that has a personality that fits White's personal check list gets unlimited chances to make money. Arlovski , BJ Penn, Overeem, Bisping ..... it's an absolute joke how these fighters keep turning up on UFC cards. It will never be a legitimate sport in my eyes ,because anyone with an ounce of common sense can see right trough this bullshit!

Something must be up....Cormier and Kenny were talking about they would like to see Rousey fight Cyborg next last night on UFC Tonight. Then, they showed some of the highlights of her destroying people. I didn't think she would ever get in the UFC, but now I think there's a chance. They did say that Cyborg may have a tough time making weight and that it may have to be at a catchweight.

Bunch of BS posts all over this thread LOL!Most all fighters cycle stop with the BS FFS!Fine Borg ducked Honda at 35, cool. Honda metaled at 154, fought MMA @45 and said she'd fight another fighter at 45 but not Borg.....Next case, there is nothing to talk about. Maybe there is? A poster said Honda said in SF it was her 'goal' to fight Borg too? Is that true?I'll fight her at 45 BUT NOT that girl, F my goal! Weak sauce, duck

He learned his lesson from Alistair IMO. If they're going to take advantage of the hype built up around Cyborg, if they want to cash out all that built up capital, they have to do it BEFORE she takes a fight and gets exposed.I don't know what stylistic match-up they could cherry pick for her to shine in an #1 contender fight. If they give her someone in the top-5, at 135lbs, she's probably going to lose. She'll probably get an immediate title shot. Even though she hasn't earned it and it would be unfair to the other contenders in the division.

This is one sitch where I'd want RR to really brutalize someone.Cyborg cheated, and fought lesser comp. on the good juice. The only problem is that after RR won this, there'd basically be no one else other than Holm, who again, would lose to RR.
