10 most USADA drug tested athletes in UFC history

Saturday, February 25, 2017

Since July 1, 2015, the United States Anti-Doping Agency (USADA) has serve as the independent third-party administrator of the UFC’s year-round Anti-Doping Policy. USADA maintains a public Athlete Test History, updated regularly.

In 2015, 156 athletes were tested, a total of 353 times, an average of 2.26 times per athlete. In 2016, the rate accelerated to 586 athletes tested, 2291 total times, or an average of 3.9 times per athlete. In 2017 so far 240 athletes have been tested a total of 353 times.

A quick pass at the numbers reveals the most tested athletes to date. The primary triggers for a high count appear to be holding a belt and a history of anti-doping test failures.
