It's funny, the UK guys are where North America was 5-10 years ago. They bring very solid fundamentals but have no awareness of how to control the transitions. Some time ago the North American fighters learned that this is where all fights are won and their games lurched forward. I suspect it will take the UK kids a while to catch up.

Broughton loss to Jessie Gibbs (who six months ago lost to Dion Staring by dec) by decision not too long ago, so that should tell you pretty much the level he is at.

To be fair, that fight was over 2 years ago and he was coming off an injury (ankle I think) and a 14 month lay-off. Im not saying he's gonna beat Brock or anything, but that fight isn't the best to judge him on. He recently fought 3 times in one night with the last fight going to decision, so he clearly does have solid cardio.

No. Broughton is not a legit threat to anybody halfway decent. He is on the level of an Eddie Sanchez, or a Neil Grove, or a Paul Buentello. He's a C+ talent and that is being generous. I saw the fight with Grove and it was embarrassing.
