UFC signs Branch to four-fight deal

Undefeated two-time Bellator Fighting Championships competitor Dave Branch has signed a four-fight deal with the Ultimate Fighting Championship.

His coach, current UFC fighter Renzo Gracie, announced the news today.

Branch, a Brooklyn, N.Y. native who's studied Brazilian jiu jitsu for nearly a decade with Gracie, turned pro in 2007 and his since posted a 6-0 record with six stoppage victories (three via knockout and three via submission). Most recently, he stopped Derrick Mehman (5-1 at the time) with a second-round rear-naked choke at Bellator 15 in April.

He's been with Renzo's for a while but is just a few fights into his MMA career. Scary good/strong.

^^Steve Williams has been around awhile with Renzo hasn't he? Or am I thinking of someone else. Is he just starting to to fight or something?

Dave is a bad dude. Whenever I roll with him and get a little something (advance position, sweep, takedown, etc.) part of me thinks "I hope I didn't just piss him off and he dislocates my arm".He's the nicest guy in the world though and a *way* legit bb (was scary as a purple). Pretty new to mma but has the world by the balls.Others to watch out of Renzo's are Sapo (who just fucked up Lutter) and Steve Williams.

i got to see him fight at Bellator 15, very nasty standing RNC to finish the fight
