McKee bets career on MFC title bout

“I’ve said before that I will fight differently but I was still cautious. Not anymore. I am going to destroy Azevedo," McKee claims. "I will mess him up. If it goes to a decision, I will leave my gloves in the ring and walk away."

The odds definitely don't favor the 40-year-old Las Vegas born fighter, who finished his first fight in nine years when he defeated Rodrigo Ruiz at Collision under the Cage banner in March, considering 22 of his 29 and 11 of Azevedo's 24 fights have gone the distance amounting to a 60 percent decision rate.

Keep in mind, McKee also says he'd smash BJ Penn and "crumble" Gilbert Melendez and Josh Thompson, so you need to take what he says with a grain of salt.

Haha no! Luciano is way too good to write him off against anyone, especially if McKee actually looks for the finish because he will be forced to open up

I guess I am the only one here who thinks Luciano has a chance to win?

He deserves a shot in the UFC boring or not the guy has an impressive record. Give him Maynard or Sherk.

Lot of good it has done him. There has to be some middle ground between 'fighting conservatively' and 'fighting like an idiot'.  If McKee had ever found that middle ground, he might have earned some real money.

LOL Yeah.  It's the UFC's fault he's stuck fighting in a tent show in Canada.  I'm sure Strikeforce, Bellator, DREAM, Affliction, EliteXC, Pride and a myriad of other promotions all passed on him because of that damned UFC.
