I would like to think that there would be some sort of pay scale in relation to your spot on the fight card. i.e. first fight of the night = both fighters make $10,000second fight of the night = "" $20,000and so on and so forth main event = both fighters make $60,000^^^just an example off the cuff^^^This would (maybe) keep fighters hungry to stay at the top as that is where the money would be without including sponsors/bonuses/fan base of course.TJ IA/Sensor Operator SSgt

You guys are funny. There is a range for the salary cap each event. They need the low pay guys to fill in the gaps.Now, I do agree, 10K is the minimum you should be paid for risking life and limb(s).But, this is a business, and the UFC is taking their money and investing it all over the globe trying to expand. How much do you think they've pumped into NY Lobbyists? 1 million? 20 million?

Adding up all the purses for the UFC (Approx $1.02 million) and the boxing card above (Approx $2 million)...the UFC's payout was half of Golden boy's. Marquez made almost as much as the entire UFC fighter payout.It's pretty crazy that the ppv's for Boxing was close 1/4 of the UFC's and they end up paying out double.

Agreed. I don't like Chael. I think he's a sketchy, POS bigot suffering from whiteman delusional victimization. I think he gets more credit for his frenetic, yet soft, top game than he deserves ...BUT that fucker sold that PPV. I can all but guarantee that he was duly compensated. The UFC wants to put on great shows and if the other guys see someone get well-rewarded for selling a fight AND delivering, maybe they (*cough*Fitch*cough*) might step up to the plate for some extra cheese. Personally, I'd prefer to see the trash talk a bit more respectful and less fueled by racism, but whatever works.

Pay in the ufc has been a issue for as long as I can remember and I think the fighters always felt that because it was a young sport they would not get paid as much as boxing and once mma was excepted in the mainstream they would be making the big money like boxers.Well here we are,the ufc is known world wide we have one of the biggest video games ppv's are through the roof dana is bragging about taking over boxing.BUT.................The fighters still get paid buttons compared to boxing!But dana love's mma!Loves making millions of it that is.
