UFC 123 officially headed to Detroit on Nov. 30

UFC president Dana White announced the location to MMAFighting.com on Wednesday after weeks of speculation. Sources close to the situation also confirmed Detroit as the locale to MMAWeekly.com on Wednesday.

Detroit was on a short list of cities vying for UFC 123 on Nov. 20, according to MMAWeekly.com sources. The other major finalist, Pittsburgh, was knocked out of the running because of scheduling conflicts.

The headline fight for UFC 123 will pit former light heavyweight champions Quinton "Rampage" Jackson and Lyoto Machida in the main event. More fights will be announced in the coming weeks.

Mine are upper level row 4 on the aisle....great seats for the price. And shit card???? Really?? Seems to be a great card thus far....but you know it will no doubt change before November.I do agree that Strikeforce needs to come here as well. Would be fun. Hershel Walker headlining....awesome good time MMA fun.

I'm a fan of upper deck seats for MMA, as long as they're not too far back and not too far from the cage. For this event, however, the $60 and $112 upper deck seats were all shit (18th row, nowhere near the cage) during the first hour of the newsletter presale.

There was a presale two days before the tickets went on sale to general public... The upper bowl seats were $60.something. Now they're 112 if even still available.

yeah, i saw them when they were at $66 and wouldn't pay that hell, i paid $50 to watch fedor fight in chicago (much better seats than top section, back row at the Palace) PLEASE come to michigan, strikeforce!

i looked at the card again, decided not to go while the experience would be interesting, i cannot justify paying over $100 a ticket (which is a crap seat) for that shit card only fight i really am interested in seeing is lauzon/george
